June 27th, 2002 I was working at "Anderson's Bride" throughout my Summer break from schooling in Spokane, Washington. I had recently given up on the idea of finding my perfect someone. Rather, (over much turmoil and many past mistakes) decided to "Give it to God". Who better (I thought) to chose my Man, than the one who knows me best (my creator). So when Ron walked in the door that Afternoon, I cannot lie, the first thing I thought (literally) was "Wow! That, is my kind of Man!" But I honestly thought nothing would come of it.
As God would have it, I ended up being the one to assist Ron's nephew Dustin, with his tuxedo fitting. I proceeded to scurry from room to room, assuming that this (perfect) Man had not even noticed me (the little bridal helper) certain that he had a tall, blonde, super- model just waiting for him at home. Anyway, when Dustin was finishing up in the dressing room, Ron approached to ask me a question. So, (maintaining my role of "Bridal consultant") I was certain he was going to ask some menial question about our return policy or some related situation. So you can imagine my shock, when he asked if I would consider letting him taking me to dinner sometime....
Without the slightest hesitation, I accepted and ran to get a business card where I scribbled my home number in Anchorage, my cell phone number in Spokane and my email address! (Hope I didn't appear too desperate!)
The following week, I was experiencing the best date of my life with Ron (at the Brewhouse). It was there, that I began to understand just how wonderful this Man really was.
Not even half way through our first course, Ron began making some pretty bold statements about his spiritual beliefs and past experiences in life, without any inclination of my own beliefs.
To be honest, at this point I really thought that I was being set up! See, my friends use to accuse me of being too picky, wanting too much, and not giving guys a chance. So when he started feeding me the same lines, I myself had given on previous dates, (you know, the ones you deliver and expect the person to just pick up and run for dear life)?!
Well, he just seemed too good to be true. I actually responded fairly sarcastically throughout a large portion of this chat, (not wanting to be taken the fool in this little joke). Well, thank God, I eventually realized that it was in fact, not a joke and that Ron was the real thing.(Luckily he hadn't picked up on my half-hearted responses!)
Needless to say from that point on, I was hooked. We spent my last weeks in town together doing nothing in particular but never loving life more.
By the time I returned to my Fall semester of schooling in Washington, I was planning our Wedding day and thanking God for leading me to my perfect match!
Oh yes, and we lived happily ever after!

Madison has come and conquered our hearts (and our home). She was born April 18, 2005 (nearly 5 weeks early), weighed in at 9 and a half pounds and remains the picture of health (thank you Lord)!
